 Ceftriaxone 1000mg + Sulbactum 500mg Injection is a combination of two drugs which are: Ceftriaxone and Sulbactum. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic used to treat patients suffering from severe bacterial infections. When this drug is given to a patient then it prevents the formation of the bacterial protective covering required by bacteria for surviving while  Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that works by reducing resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria. 

Ceftriaxone 1000mg + Sulbactum 500mg Injection can make a patient feel better within a few days from the day when the course is started. But it also offers some side-effects due to its effectiveness. Here are some side-effects caused by the drug:

• Rash,
• Diarrhea,
• Nausea,
• Vomiting,
• Stomach upset,
• Blood clots,
• Dizziness,
• Headache,
• Excessive sweating,
• Vaginal itching or discharge,
• Anemia,
• Changes in taste,
• flushing, etc.

Hence, these are some side-effects that can be experienced after using this drug. Side-effects caused by this medicine are temporary and will go away whenever the course is completed. But if you have used this drug a long time ago but are still feeling these side-effects then you should consult your doctor immediately.

Ceftriaxone 1000mg + Sulbactum 500mg Injection should be used with caution as it can make the situation worse than before if not take in a proper way. Here are some precautions:

• Don’t avoid any dosage even if you are feeling better.
• If you notice bloody stools or develop abdominal cramps then talk to your doctor.
• To avoid stomach upset take it with food and plenty of fluids.
